Before you jump to Beef Gravy recipe, you may want to read this short interesting healthy tips about Choosing Fast Food That’s Very good For You.
Just about any article you read about improving your health or weight loss is going to tell you to ignore the drive through and cook all of your meals instead. This is certainly excellent information. But occasionally the last thing you would like to do is put together a whole dinner for yourself and your family. Once in a while you just want to check out the drive through while you’re on your way home and finish the day. There is simply no reason that you shouldn’t be able to do that once in a while and be free of the guilt usually associated with “diet slips”. This is because most well-known fast food restaurants around are trying to “healthy up” their selections. Here is the way to find healthy food choices at the drive through.
Aim at the side dishes. It was not that long ago that all you could get at a fast food restaurant was French Fries. Now more or less all of the popular fast food places have widened their menus. Now lots of them offer you salads. Chili is definitely another choice. You might get baked potatoes. You could get fruit. There are so many possibilities that you can choose that do not force you to consume foods that have been deep fried. When deciding on your supper from the drive through, select a variety of side items instead of choosing a pre-made “meal deal”. When you choose to do this you can keep your fat content and calorie counts low.
Fundamental logic states that the proper way to lose weight and get healthy is to ban fast food from your diet entirely. Most of the time this is a good plan but if you make good choices, there is not any reason you can’t visit your drive through from time to time. Often what you require most is just to have someone else do the cooking. There isn’t any reason to feel bad about visiting the drive through when you make healthful decisions!
We hope you got benefit from reading it, now let’s go back to beef gravy recipe. You can cook beef gravy using 7 ingredients and 9 steps. Here is how you do that.
The ingredients needed to cook Beef Gravy:
- Provide Beef juices
- Use Water (I use hot or warm water so it'll heat up faster)
- Prepare Beef bouillon cubes
- Take Cornstarch
- Get Salt
- Get Black pepper
- You need Garlic powder
Instructions to make Beef Gravy:
- Take beef juices from pan and put into a saucepan. Use a little less than the amount you want of gravy. (example: if you wanted half a saucepan of gravy, use enough beef juices to get close to half since you'll be adding water.)
- Add salt, black pepper and garlic powder to taste.
- On medium/high heat, stir occasionally until the beef juices begin to boil.
- Once boiling, add some beef bouillon cubes for added flavor
- Add a bit of hot or warm water to compensate for the added bouillon cubes.
- Bring back up to a low boil.
- Once at a boil, take a small cup and add a few teaspoons of the cornstarch and mix in a bit of water. Mix well until it is all combined. (This step is so you don't end up with lumps of cornstarch in your gravy.) Once mixed well, add to your gravy mixture.
- Keep mixing with a wire whisk so nothing burns. Gravy will start to thicken shortly. If it's not thick enough for you, add more cornstarch by repeating the previous step.
- When gravy is at desired thickness you're done! Take off heat and serve, enjoy!
